Climate changes pose major challenges to the city of Lisbon: what
consequences can we predict from heat waves, droughts and heavy rain on
ecosystems, people’s health and quality of life, agriculture and water
resources?
At the same time, these challenges bring opportunities for innovation
and sustainable businesses development that enable the city to adapt
and become greener.
ImpactHub Lisbon aims to bring together various actors in society
that are committed to create responses to climate change, so they can
find solutions together and potentiate the success of businesses in this
area.
The EcoInnovation Lab will be a space for discussion, networking and
experimentation, created by the participants themselves: eco-preneurs,
NGOs, businesses, universities, research centres, public authorities and
all stakeholders interested in contributing to the topic.
In this first event, we invite the community of eco-preneurs, public
institutions, companies, academia, or others for, during a late
afternoon:
· Reflect on the challenges of climate change in Lisbon
· Think together what opportunities do these challenges raise
· Share success stories, learned lessons and experiences
· Get to know people with different backgrounds and perspectives but with a common goal.
This will be the kick-off for an initiative that seeks to be regular
and which aims to play an important role in the city of Lisbon, also
integrating a global network of innovation laboratories in response to
