“Hi Impact Makers! Besides my regular gigs as a digital & campaigning consultant and mentor, I’m the coordinator of Linha Vermelha. I also have new projects on the pipeline: developing an augmented reality app for news, launching a new virtual reality experience on abortion rights in India, supporting Impact Hub Lisbon with a Creative Lab to leverage technology for positive impact, and organizing trainings and events with Chicas Poderosas, which is a global movement to build capacity for female journalists.

Ah, and I’m “cooking” a circular economy project. As for my personal life, I’m moving away to the beautiful and peaceful countryside this summer where I’m planning to relax, take a swim every single day and enjoy my cat’s company!”

PAES Acceleration Program - The 3 finalists are…

Last month ended the 3-month acceleration phase of PAES! We were thrilled to witness the empowering journey the participants have gone through - with a great spirit of collaboration. From a pool of 12 Portuguese social startups, 3 finalists were selected to join the internalization phase:

SPOT - Pedagogical games to prevent school dropout
Rádio Miúdos - Educative radio for kids
Negócio 55+ - Online platform for wellbeing and active aging

They will get access to training, mentoring and networking sessions at Impact Hub Berlin. From these 3 finalists, the best project will receive a cash prize of 15K€.

As we wanted to equip our workspace with sustainable technology, we decided to team up with Epson. We value the fact that their products bring together sustainability and high quality standards. Epson provided us with cartridge-free printers and an eco-efficient HD projector. Our collaboration goes further as we both commit to a common objective: reshaping the way we do business to help reach the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

In this perspective, we do believe technology has a key role to play. That’s why we are developing with Epson and our hub-community a Creative Lab with the ambition to harness new technologies - such as virtual reality and augmented reality - for social good. I am originally from Germany and have been traveling around for the past 3 years. After having worked in and from different coworking spaces, I decided last year to start my own freelance-business called The Mintminds. I am on a mission to make advertising, branding and work more conscious and to make this ethical way of creating brand strategies accessible to all impact makers & changing-the-way-we-work-startups.

My first encounter with Impact Hub Lisbon was when I gave a presentation here about conscious brand strategy in March and long story short: I fell in love with the community.
