Hello.
As promised, I’m writing you from inside the Web.
Thousands of steps have been walked, dozens of km traveled, and hopefully a couple of calories burned in the process.
Let me tell you, it is packed.
More than 70 thousand attendees, they say. If you’re not here, just picture 70.000 busy bees walking around between the four pavilions of the summit + the main stage - ALL DAY LONG.
If you’re not here but work in the city, I’m sorry in the name of all the rushed “Web Summit badged & braceleted uber usurpers” jamming your way.
If you are here, though, please tell me more.
Who are you? What are you doing here?
I want to know.
Especially if you’re one of the exposing or attendee startups working in
Mobility,
HealthTech or
Energy. Reach out - you can find me or any Beta-i members through the Web Summit app (and you already have my email).
If you’re getting tired of all this, Web Summit news - we have some other announcements to make.
The second edition of
SOL Mobility is currently taking
applications, aiming to disrupt mobility in the city. On a completely different area, the
Techcare program with Novartis will definitely reimagine and change the future in the healthcare ecosystem and
applications are also open.
So if you find the time to sit down and read this email, please say hello. Maybe we’ll find each other in this 100.000+ square event.
Merry Networking!
Cristina
Ps.
I couldn’t reach the Altice Arena for the opening talks of the Web Summit (guess what, it was full!) but I was told that the video chat with Edward Snowden was somewhat interesting. Also, Tony Blair came yesterday to give his two cents on Brexit and some people wondered if Trump will be re-elected. Any other talks you’d recommend?
