We are approaching that time of the year.
It’s Black Friday, they say. And everything is for sale and on sale.
Even if you’re interested in
the origin of the whole phenomenon, we know it surely sets the tone for Christmas shopping, with one meaning: buying stuff.
And what are people going to buy, you ask? Well, besides everything, it seems that
furniture is expected to be the winner of all buys, at least in the USA. With an average of $737.27 per person spent, one can imagine a quite respectful pile of chairs.
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, even Christmas, all remind us that sometimes we consume more than we need. Or should. We
keep creating waste, piling up goods and disposing of them.
It replaces the end-of-life concept with restoration (...) aims for the elimination of waste through the superior design of materials, products, systems and business models.
Where is all this furniture going to go when it no longer serves the purpose of its new black friday owner?
Solutions that improve the conception of furniture and mattresses, as well as their end of life cycle, are the present and the future we should want to have.
May the wise shopping be with you.

Ps. Baby (not) Yoda has nothing to with this newsletter. But everybody here is watching The Mandalorian. The force was strong with this one and we just couldn’t resist. Can you?
