Lisbon Challenge opens applications to the Spring '15 edition

The most international accelerator in Europe is now calling out tech startups. 3-month acceleration program, no equity-taken, with one of the best international roadshows in the world. Our startups have raised over 30 million euros, we got 3 alumni at YC and 7 at Seedcamp, and 40% of our startups got invested. This could be you.

Uniplaces gets 2,8 million euros in investment

Congrats to the Lisbon Challenge 2013 alumni for expanding to London and Madrid, and for getting additional funding from Octopus Investments.

Tradiio heads out to Slush Helsinki

Slush came to Portugal for the first time last month, via Beta-i, to check out the Lisbon startup scene and invite one local startup to attend Slush Helsinki on Nov 17 & 18 for free. 

Codacy wins Web Summit Pitch Competition

Lisbon's Codacy, a startups from the first edition of Seedcamp Lisbon, won the BETA Award at the Web Summit in Dublin, defeating the other 1500 participating startups .

Through its Call For Entrepreneurship initiative, Portugal Ventures has already financed 34 start-ups, helping them pursue their global ambition. Submissions of the ninth version of the initiative ran until Nov 13. Be part of it.

Welcome at Beta-i, Michaela!


Beta-i has a new team member. Michaela Stadlerova came from Czech Republic to Portugal to join our team for 3 months. Her stay at Beta-i is part of the business exchange program Erasmus For Entrepreneurs. During her time in Lisbon, Michaela will focus on digital marketing activities to help Beta-i to succeed.
