'Please confirm this!'. That's what we kept on hearing every single day last week before having the venue for the Lisbon Investment Summit closed...
So, when I get down to the office this morning, kind of still asleep, and find Pedro Caio, our Head of Operations, staring at his computer and yelling at me: ‘Come check this out!’.
While I was struggling to keep my eyes open, I look down at the screen and say ‘Wow, that’s incredible, where is it? Is it a concert hall?’. He turned up to me, with a proud smile on his face, and said:
For those who attended the conference last year and loved that historical hidden palace, brace yourselves. This year we’re occupying the Real Academia das Ciências (in english, The Royal Academy of Sciences).
For now, we're keeping our promise, the Lisbon Investment Summit will definitely be a surprisingly informal and seriously unexpected startup conference.
