You can't avoid it. You must be in Lisbon for the Web Summit. But what about all the other things happening in between?

Don't let FOMO get the best of you. I'll let you know what is going on around here.
Cool stuff happening at FabStart
Remember I wrote about FabStart's first floor invasion of teams applying for EDP Open Innovation? (Just nod and say yes, it makes me happy). We selected 15 teams who are right now doing the 4th bootcamp. They are from Portugal, Spain, Brazil, France and Romania. And they're all going to do their final pitch on the 2nd of November.
Last week, we where in Macau (no, not me, but let's just pretend I was) and there were some news about it, as we co-organized StartUP Macau Forum and taught our methodology during a very intense weekend. The prime minister, António Costa, came by too. The winners got free tickets for the Web Summit and received 20.000 dollars.

Sorry about the image quality. The picture came all the way from Macau to Lisbon and got some minor damage during the long journey :) But you can see, on the left, our CEO António Lucena de Faria, in the middle, the Portuguese prime minister António Costa, very interested in the prize Kiruba Eswaran, co-founder of Zaask, had just won.

Here's a very good reason why you should attend our programmes: once upon a time, four people who had never met before attended Ideation Week for Health, they decided to do a startup together, then they attended the acceleration programme Summer of Startups. The startup is called Couch and it has been selected to attend the Startup Bootcamp for Digital Health, in Berlin, securing 15.000 euros.
We're organising the Web Summit Chil Out with the Dutch Portuguese Chamber of Commerce. There will be interactive breakout sessions, during which the public will help solve practical and current challenges of several startups, mixed with live music, canapés and drinks. For more information to register click here.

Do you've got an idea for a social project, culture and heritage, social economy or health? Then you can still apply for Santa Casa Challenge.

Cool events at FabStart
Our most known event the GRID is today! This is a special edition where we bid farewell to the Summer (I know it is a bit late, but better late than never!). Don't be shy, come by for a beer and a chat. We'd love to hear what you've been up to!
Next week our beloved Demo Night will be back to entertain you. Five startups are ready to give you their best shot and await your precious feedback. We just can not wait!

Cool stuff to read from FabStart
We had a lovely intern who wrote a few blog posts on six easy steps to become an entrepreneur, smarter ways to network, how to become a millionaire in your twenties and, surprisingly enough, even wrote a funny blog post about his internship with us.

I interviewed Climber Hotel (there has been a lot of talk about them lately) and also Startup Creator.

There is nothing else worth reading than this. Trust me.

That's all from now.

Stay cool and see you at the GRID and/or Demo Night!
