accelerated, invested, acquired

August also brought us some good news about new accelerators and startup support programs in town. First of them, Storytek, is a startup accelerator with a focus on audiovisual content and media technology and will start its first batch in late September. Another new player in the startup support scene is Elevator Startups, based in Tallinn Creative Hub. With a focus on tech-based creative startups, especially media-tech, ad-tech and entertainment software, they just announced an open call for all early stage creative ideas and startups. Meanwhile, Prototron picked their TOP10 from their summer round.

Additionally, in August, the identity verification tool Veriff received a round of funding in the amount of €250k and is planning to expand to international markets; and the big data platform Planet OS was acquired by Intertrust Technologies.

PS. With the start of the autumn season, the startup community has gotten back into the office and ready to rock with the events calendar for the fall filling up with all sorts of awesome events. Next up is Refresh - come say hi to us if you happen to be there!
