web summit - news - women in tech newsletter

Hi everyone!

As we get closer to the big event, we thought we'd share a peek of our curated women in tech agenda. Here are our top five ways to make the most of your experience at Web Summit!
1. The Booking.com women in tech mentorship programme

How can women lift each other up to create a more inclusive tech industry? Learn from the women breaking barriers in our one-on-one mentoring sessions at Web Summit. We're offering a series of 20-minute meetings across four tracks: Build, Lead, Grow and Engage.
Here are just a few of our top mentors:
Gillian Tans, Booking.com
Nicola Bates, Boeing Horizon X Ventures
Caroline Frankum, Kantar

There's limited availability so be sure to sign up soon.
2. The women in tech workshop series

We are excited to announce our first-ever dedicated workshop and day for women in tech at any of our events. Brief descriptions of the workshops are below, sign-ups will be available next week.

#IamRemarkable - a Google initiative that strives to empower women and underrepresented groups to learn the importance of self-promotion and be equipped with the tools to develop this skill in the workplace and beyond.

LeanIn - helps women achieve their ambitions and work to create an equal world. A series of Lean In Circles will help women who want to explore unconscious biases and overcome them in a safe and supportive space.

MovetheDial  - aims to increase the participation and leadership of all women in tech. Learn how to engage existing connections and build impactful relationships to #movethedial for yourself and others, and get the most value out of your time together.
