Startups vs Poverty: Also, you probably heard before that over 1.3 billion people are living in extreme poverty, right? Earlier this month we introduced you to 5 promising European startups tackling the effects of poverty.
EU-Startups Summit: Speaking about social impact - the latest highlight we announced for the upcoming EU-Startups Summit is that Founders Pledge CEO David Goldberg will join us as a speaker. Pitch Competition: We recently launched the application phase for our big pitch competition, which finals will be held at our upcoming EU-Startups Summit (May 28-29, Barcelona), and we're excited that we already received over 220 great applications! Startups to watch: In the beginning of this year, the EU-Startups team is having a closer look at many of Europe's leading startup ecosystems to introduce you to some of the most promising startups to watch in 2020. In the past few days we already published such lists for Hamburg, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Lithuania, Leuven, and Ireland.
