Web Summit - 2 to 4 DEC 2020 - Startup Programme - Newsletter

A one-of-a-kind startup experience

Startup founders are all looking for the same thing: the chance to grow their company. But how do you stand out from the crowd when so many others are jostling for attention?

Joining Web Summit’s startup programme is a first step.
Gain exposure
If it’s exposure you’re looking for, take part in PITCH and/or 40 words.

PITCH →

PITCH is Web Summit’s startup competition highlighting the world’s most promising startups in an online pitching battle. Open exclusively to attendees in our startup programme!

Find out how we’ve adapted PITCH for our online events here.

40 words →

40 words is a series of short-form videos which allow founders to introduce their company, outline their next spend or tell us why they’re ready to take off – all in just 40 words.

Read our blog post detailing why 40 words is important for your company here.
Successful applicants’ video responses will be broadcasted across our main content channels at Web Summit, placing them in front of 100,000+ attendees.

Learn with your team
If you want to learn from industry experts, check out Mentor Hours, Startup Sessions and our expert masterclasses. Our content is catered to startups in our programme.

Mentor Hours  →

Startups can learn from business leaders who have done it all before in our Mentor Hours programme. Past mentors have included the likes of Jager McConnel (CEO, Crunchbase) and many more. In pre-arranged group meetings, our attending speakers, investors and partners will give startups the advice they wish they’d received starting out. Find out more.

Startup Sessions →

Startup Sessions are created with YOU in mind and are available to all startups at Web Summit. These online, interactive webinars in the lead up to the event provide startups with guidance on perfecting their elevator pitches, busting the biggest myths about startups, women in the world of tech and more. Previous startup sessions hosts include Renata Quintini, co-founder and managing director of Renegade Partners and more.

Startup masterclasses →

Startup masterclasses are interactive classroom sessions hosted by major investment funds, partners and accelerators, such as SignalFire and SOSV, attending Web Summit 2020. The 30-minute masterclasses include a 10-minute Q&A with the host, giving you the chance to ask questions about the challenges you face as a startup in 2020.
