Startup Portugal, newsletter - Road 2 Web Summit (R2WS) - Web Summit.

WEEK 35 // September 3, 2021
SEED CONTENT
// Opening remarks

You probably didn't even notice that I did a very small but needed break, just to be back this week at full force. We are now working on several things for our community until the end of the year (August is over and everyone starts to talk about year-end), but right now one of the biggest focuses is on our program Road 2 Web Summit. The deadline for application is right around the corner and we have already received quite a few interesting applications. Will you miss this unique opportunity to showcase your startup?

As we mentioned in the last newsletter, every year, through Road 2 Web Summit (R2WS), we take a group of the best Portuguese startups to the biggest technological event in the world. On our way, we prepare them to reach their maximum potential on a Bootcamp designed in collaboration with Web Summit.

On its 6th edition, R2WS aims to reach up to 100 startups based in Portugal, supporting them with 50% of the cost of Web Summit's ALPHA startup package along with an internationalization opportunity (via Collision Conference 2022, in Toronto) and an intensive training program centered on key content for each participant.

Applications are open until the 6th of September.

You already know the drill. I love a good chat, so don't hesitate to drop me a line at elisa@startupportugal.com. I’m also open to events to include in this newsletter, suggestions or any comments. Feel free to say hi!

Have a great weekend!

// Mobi Summit's Startup Of The Year Award is back

The PMS2021 Startup of the Year Award initiative is part of the Portugal Mobi Summit project, whose focus for 2021 will be “Mobility 2030: The paradigm is changing, are we?”.

  • It aims to debate and boost knowledge and innovation related to disruptive dimensions of mobility: autonomous driving, connectivity, electrification, and shared mobility, thus fostering entrepreneurship and stimulating the creation of new mobility concepts and solutions.  Apply here.
// Shameless self promotion

If you opened this newsletter you already know: we are promoting our program Road 2 Web Summit to exhaustion. But that's only because of how good the program is. To prove it, just check our alumni testemony.

Clynx is a health tech startup that uses gamification to improve the quality and experience of physical therapy. How cool is that?
