Brief recap of investment news By the end of the year, there had been a slowdown in investments plowed into Estonian startups, but notably, it didn't negatively affect their size. At the end of November, Gelatex has bagged €1.2M in seed investment from Change Ventures and Crosslight Partners to make cell-cultured meat production 90% cheaper. Over the same period, Estonian-based GScan, a deeptech company that develops cosmic ray 3D scanners, closed a €500K investment round to improve security and cargo scanning. December was not very fruitful on investments compared to the previous month so far. Beast, a fully automated Tesla rental service, successfully attracted over €1.5M to accelerate expansion, while Estonian startup Teamscope raised €1.3M to expand its executive hiring SaaS platform. Wishing you and your loved ones well-deserved downtime and a very happy new year to come! Happy Holidays from everyone at Startup Estonia! |
